Framola™ Pergola & Fence Post Base Bracket (4 Sizes Available)

The Framola Post Base Bracket is part of the Framola system. They are designed to allow you to easily construct Pergolas for your garden.

These Post Base Brackets are designed to allow you to secure upright posts when building Pergolas. They provide a secure installation from the post into the floor. By using these brackets and a combination of wood screws and masonry bolts, you can ensure that all uprights are secure in any outdoor structure. Not only is it great for bases on pergolas, the post base bracket is a fantastic way of installing posts for car ports, fencing and any other upright posts.

To install, simply screw the product onto the floor or wall to create a secure foundation for the piece of timber. This should be done using Masonry screws when drilling into concrete or brick. Then place the wood into the bracket by pushing it into the post base. Ensure it is pushed in firmly for optimal security. Then screw some timber screws into the wood through the holes on the sides of the bracket. You can also drill the piece of wood to allow the timber to slot more flush against the bottom of the post base.

This product has been designed in the United Kingdom. Each one is manufactured at our premises in Norfolk.

Getting The Right Post Base Bracket:

To get the right post base for the size of wood you are using, please select from the options at the top. This will allow you to select between options for 3", 4", 5" and 6" timber.

All the screw holes on the sides of the post base bracket are 7.5mm. This means that our Framola Timber Pergola Installation screws are a great choice for securing the wood to the bracket.

To secure these post bases to the ground or to a wall, we recommend these Hex-Head Masonry Bolts. The hole sizes on the base are 10mm in diameter. (There are additional holes on the 3inch variant to allow you to use smaller bolts). Specifically we recommend the 6.0 x 50mm size. These bolts are specifically designed for concrete, brick and other hard materials.

To make life easier for you, we also offer an installation kit which provides a drill bit, a driver bit and a selection of bolts to secure it to the ground.

Add a Post Base Bracket Cover?

The Post Base Bracket Cover is an additional product which can be placed over the Post Base during installation to cover the screws for a clean, aesthetic finish.

During the installation of the post base, you should place the cover over top of the base before slotting the wood in, as doing it retroactively would require the pergola/fence to be disassembled. Once the cover is placed over the post base and the wood is slotted in, you need to lift the cover to screw the wood to the post base, and then slot it back over gently. Please watch our video to see the installation process.
