Framola™ Pergola Privacy Wall Installation Channels for 2" Timber

The Framola system is designed to make the construction and installation of Pergolas and Garden Structures as simple as possible. These Privacy Wall Installation Channels allow you to mount 2" thick pieces of timber to make Privacy Walls to surround your Pergola. Install these against the uprights of your Pergola and then slot wood down into the channels, screwing them in place at the desired distance, leaving small or large gaps between each slat.

These channels are easy to install. You need to measure the distance between each upright post on your pergola, and cut your wood to length. Simply screw these channels onto the upright posts on your Pergola using the 5 screw holes at the back. We recommend using Framola Timber Sleeper Screws for these, as they are 7.5mm wide, the perfect size for our screws. Be sure that they are level on the opposing upright, otherwise the slats might not be aligned correctly.

Once the channels are both installed, you can begin slotting wood into them. This wood can be secured using one or two of the 23 holes down the edge of the bracket. The holes are 25mm apart from centre-to-centre. These holes are 5mm and suitable for using smaller, black woodscrews to secure. These holes are only on one side, allowing the screws to be only partially visible on one side of the channel, hiding them from view if aesthetics is a priority. You can install the slats as close or far as you want. Installing them close together will ensure higher privacy, but spacing them apart will allow additional light to come through into your Pergola.

The channel is 590mm tall, meaning you can stack them on top of each other to make taller privacy walls. For a standard 3m tall Pergola, we would recommend 5 channels on each upright.

As with other Framola products, these Pergola Privacy Wall Installation Channels come with a textured black finish, which is both pleasing in appearance, as well as helping the outer of the bracket remain durable and hard-wearing. The bracket itself is made using 2.5mm Heavy Duty Galvanised Steel, which will remain rust-free forever, even in the event of the coating being damaged.
