Different Types of Needlework: Sewing, Crochet, and Knitting

Knitting

Knitting is a needlework technique that involves using two pointed needles to create fabric from yarn. To knit, you need yarn, knitting needles, and a basic understanding of the basic knitting stitches, such as the knit stitch and the purl stitch.

To start, make a slipknot with the yarn and place it on one of the needles. Then, use the other needle to push it through the slipknot, creating a loop of yarn. Repeat this process until you have a row of loops on the first needle. Then, use the second needle to push it through the first loop, creating a new loop of yarn on the second needle.
