Bellamy Circular Rustic Steel Planter & Tree Ring

The Bellamy Rustic Steel Planter Tree Ring comes in a variety of sizes. It is suitable for just adding a few plants in, or using it as part of a much bigger project. The planter will provide a lovely surround to your plants, vegetables and flowers.

Each planter is delivered in a bare steel finish. The planter will rust over time. This will allow you to see your planter weather until a fine rusty patina has developed on the outside. The planter will arrive fully welded, so there is nothing to put together.

The planter doesn't have a base, so it can be used to provide a border around existing bushes, flowers and trees. You just slot the planter over top of them! This works as a great way of adding a steel tree ring to your garden.

Each planter is made by our team in Norfolk from heavy duty British Steel. This ensures it is durable and strong and will hold up in bad weather.

Possible Uses for your Rustic Steel Planter Tree Ring:

Create a clean border around your trees, flowers and shrubs by slotting it over top of them.
Filling with stones, pebbles or succulents. This will make something arty and fancy in your garden.
Just use as a regular planter. Fill it with soil, add some seeds and watch your flowers bloom!

Any Rustic Steel Planter with a 900mm diameter are sent on a pallet. These planters are not subject to free shipping over £75. These planters will incur a pallet charge at the checkout.

Please note:

The Rustic Steel Planter will be just an outer ring. There is no base, so cannot be used as a free-standing plant pot. It is designed for installation on wood, concrete or in your garden.
All planters are bespoke and made to order. They are subject to a 7-day maximum turnaround time due to custom production. No Next-Day services are available for these. We reserve the right to refuse returns on these products as they are custom-made.
As these are made by hand, please allow a tolerance of +/- 30mm for the diameter. Height will be exactly as stated on the variant.
We aim to deliver your Rustic Steel Planter rust-free. However, some of our bare steel products may show signs of rust when manufactured.

Rusting Process Explained

At Indoor Outdoors we have many products which we describe as Rustic Steel. This refers to the fact that the item will rust over time to give it that lovely orangey-brown vintage look.

When your product arrives, it may have small patches of rust forming, but it will be in its bare, Mild Steel state. It will be a mostly grey-ish colour. Over time though, as the item is left outside and exposed to the elements, a rusty patina will form on the surface of the steel which gives it that lovely hue. This can take time though, and depends entirely on the outside conditions. Heavy rainfall and bad weather will help it rust faster.

You can speed the rusting process up though, some of our customers have recommended using vinegar, salt or lemon juice on the surface to get that rusty look a little sooner.

Want it to rust faster?

Depending on weather conditions, we say it can take anywhere from several weeks, to several months to fully rust. Jason, one of our customers has shared a special tip for achieving that lovely rusty outer in just 2 days!

You can pour equal parts of distilled vinegar and hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle, along with a 1/4 of a standard cup of salt. Spray this mixture all over the product and it will cause an immediate reaction, rusting in just a matter of days!
