This bespoke planter can be tailored to your preferred size, up to a maximum of 600mm per edge. If you need a larger size, please check out our Super Cubic Planter option. The steel planter is crafted from 2mm thick British steel, ensuring strength and durability. While the product arrives clean and rust-free, the steel will weather when exposed to the elements, gradually developing a distinctive rusted finish similar to COR-TEN steel. This provides a timeless, vintage look that fits beautifully in any garden.

Assembly is simple – the steel cube planter is shipped flat-packed and includes all the necessary components for you to construct it in your garden with ease. It’s the perfect choice for gardeners looking to add a durable and visually striking element to their outdoor space.

The product is shipped flat packed, consisting of 4 side panels and 4 corner panels.
Due to the need for bespoke manufacturing, any cubic planters are subject to a 14 day maximum turnaround time due to this being a custom - no Next-Day services are available for these.
If purchasing 3 or more of these, we will have to send them on a pallet, so you may incur a £60.00 minimum shipping fee.

Rusting Process Explained

At Indoor Outdoors we have many products which we describe as Rustic Steel. This refers to the fact that the item will rust over time to give it that lovely orangey-brown vintage look.

When your product arrives, it may have small patches of rust forming, but it will be in its bare, Mild Steel state. It will be a mostly grey-ish colour. Over time though, as the item is left outside and exposed to the elements, a rusty patina will form on the surface of the steel which gives it that lovely hue. This can take time though, and depends entirely on the outside conditions. Heavy rainfall and bad weather will help it rust faster.

You can speed the rusting process up though, some of our customers have recommended using vinegar, salt or lemon juice on the surface to get that rusty look a little sooner.

Rusting Process for Rustic Steel Products Explained

Want it to rust faster?

Depending on weather conditions, we say it can take anywhere from several weeks, to several months to fully rust. Jason, one of our customers has shared a special tip for achieving that lovely rusty outer in just 2 days!

You can pour equal parts of distilled vinegar and hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle, along with a 1/4 of a standard cup of salt. Spray this mixture all over the product and it will cause an immediate reaction, rusting in just a matter of days!
