If you're looking to mount fence posts in the ground for light-duty use such as washing lines or sign posts, these Drive-In Ground Mounting Stakes are the perfect choice. The brackets come as a pair, with each bracket attaching to 3 sides of the fence post. Once secured to the fence post, you can start driving the post into the ground, with the spikes allowing you to drive through the mud.
These brackets are designed to sit on opposing sides of a fence post. You receive a pair of these brackets per purchase, allowing one pair of brackets to be used for a single fence post. We do not recommend heavy-duty work for these brackets as the spiked area is small, and these brackets should only be used for light-duty projects. These brackets are available for both 3" (75mm) and 4" (100mm) fence posts.
To use, install the brackets onto the base of the fence post. The bottom of the squared part of the bracket should sit flush with the base of the fence post. Dig a small hole where you would like to install the fence post. Once the hole is a satisfactory depth, drive the fence post and brackets into the ground. Use a rubber mallet and put some weight on it to really push it into the ground. Then fill the hole back in and check the sturdiness of the post. If it wobbles, you may need to go deeper into the ground.
These brackets are made from heavy-duty British steel. This ensures strength and durability. You can choose between a textured black or galvanised steel finish. It will ensure rust-proofing to avoid corrosion or damage to your brackets or fence.
These brackets have been designed in the United Kingdom. Each one is manufactured at our premises in Norfolk.
